Ken's Kustard and Koffee Shop, Brown's Beverage, and Browns (mini-dept store) was the brainchild of local entrepeneur Ken Brown.  His story is here.​​

​Some businesses from the neighborhood continue on today in other locations. Amongst those are Pucher’s Paint link(formally at West 54th and Storer) and Colozza’s Bakery link (formally at West 60th and Storer).
About Kmets Cafe... Edward Kmet was a native Clevelander who attended Lincoln High School, where he was a member of the track team.  He was a substitute teacher in Cleveland for both junior high and high school.  He ran Kmet's with his mother Mary for many years.
